Default Regular Cab Sub Box Options

One of my friends recently put a single Pioneer 10" with a Sony 222w amp in his 94 Chevy. I have a 10" Lightning Audio just sittin around and I have decided I wanna try and put it in my truck. The question is where? I figured in the tray but I don't know, I will have to build a box for it. Any Suggestions?

i have a solo baric L5 10. I used to have it in my old camaro, but got rid of it.

so after a few years in storage i decided to throw it in the dodge.

it was in a regular box, for a car trunk or suv, i just sat it between the seats on the console. i can still open my console lid up 3-4 inches, to get stuff in there.

sounds great. but eventually ima gonna have to get a box built.

check ebay or even craigslist in your area. theres tons of boxes out there. and for a 10, theres even a "console box"

Are you open to loosing your center fold up/down seat ?
I took mine right out in my reg cab and dropped in a 3.5CuFt box at 29Hz with Two adire Audio Brahma MKII's and it slams hard .. port facing forward subs facing up..

I really don't wanna lose the seat or even the tray to be honest. I haul friends around and use all the seats and I'm always puttin crap behind the seat in that tray. Thats my big problem I don't wanna give anything up. Unless I was to make a box to replace the tray that was basically a tray on top?

u can get a single truck box and only use half of the space behind ur seats, or u can get the custom center console that fits a single sub downfiring, that way u wont lose any space and the sub would be hidden and interior would look the same.

or u can put subs in the bed if u have a bed cover. for fun though of course!

and that sucks to hear that u use ur truck so much to pick up passengers.

could you post up links or pics or what those setups look like I'm just curious. Everything I have found on the internet is for a quad cab.

I want to eventually get around to building a box and custom mold it in behind my seats. I hate the look of just a universal box. I haven't found any custom boxes for rcs

My box holds 2 12's right behind the seats. It sounds great and fits just right. Here is how my setup looks, I recently traded out the xplod's for some rockford fosgate's and they sound really good.

I'm only gonna spend maybe a 100 or 150 and I only have one sub, that's all I need. I kinda want a really low profile box that I can make myself and stash in the tray. I have an amp picked out but I'm not sure how good it is. Whenever I get my truck back I'm going to take some measurements and try to figure something out. Any more suggestions or ideas will be appreciated.

Well I know you can pick up boxes like mine that are half the size for a single sub at audio express, they wanted something like $50 per box or something the last time I was there which was a while ago.
