Default Contact dealer message

When I start the truck in the morning the oil change due message comes across then a contact dealer message appears. Is that because the oil change is "due?" I have owned the truck for about 3xxx miles and did an oil change first thing even tho the sticker said I had a few thousand miles left.. Seems like the contact dealer message only comes on after the truck has been sitting for awhile. No check engine light or anything. Thanks all!

you changed the oil and did not reset the oil monitor. After changing the oil you need to reset it. The instructions are in the owners manual.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Do not
start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three
times within 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
