I just removed my silencer ring and took the truck for a ride. When I got back I turned it off then went in the house when came back and turned it on, it gave me a service code. The code is 0073.. Does anyone know what this code is??? PLEASE HELP! MY TRUCK IS 3 DAYS OLD!
Not sure what the code is but really the only thing you could have done is maybe jar a sensor. Check the sensor in the area you worked and see if any of them were accidentally disconnected, maybe the one on the tube running from your airbox to the turbo ...

Watch out on that brake clean, if you pull the vapors in to your engine when you start it, it could detonate causing serious damage.

Yea, well dont spray it in there just use a rag slightly dampened with it.

I've seen some diesels detonate with just a little in the intake. They weren't cummins, but all it takes is fumes.

From what I recall seeing in the past yours looks very clean. Also I see your turbo sits up top and is easy to reach unlike my 06 that sits on the lower side.

Looks like you got her done and nothing looks broken. Good Job Mayfair!!!

i beleive i know what might have caused it....last night when i was removing the silencer, our sprinklers came on and i had to scramble to get my keys in the ignition so i could put the truck in neutral and push it out of the way of the sprinklers....well i beleive that is on enough for the ecu to look for sensers....that sensor that you have to unplug off the top of the airbox to get at the turbo ring was unplugged when i had to push the truck out of the way....i beleive that the P0073 error code is a map sensor error(atleast thats the closest answer i can find google'n it) and if im not mistaken, that sensor on the top of the box is some sort of map sensor....now im not a mechanic and now that i'd tooled around with it a few times and probly turned my truck on and off about 5 times, the service engine light is gone so im hoping that was the problem....anyone confirm or atleast agree to make me feel better? =)

Sounds about right. On my old SRT-4 I removed my intake tube to do a boost leak check and when I put it all back together I had an engine light. I freaked out about it for like a second then realized that I never really messed with anything important. I retraced my steps and double checked everything. The sensor was put back in the tube but it was on an angle, they are round and just slip into a round rubber grommet with no orientation. I straightened it out and all was well. I cant believe they are that sensitive but I was wrong. You should be fine
