if you dont have one.. thats about your only option.. is to have the dealer program it.. you can pick them up for cheap anywhere.. they are all for the most part interchangable.. dont care what anyone tells ya.. i have programmed one from a 92 dodge to my 2001 dodge ram.. works fine.. but if you dont have one at all.. the dealer will need to do it.. also.. call em up and give them vin.. make sure there was even remote entry option on your van... if there wasnt.. put an aftermarket in

Default RE: programming a remote

This infor only works if you already have a porgrammed key fob. If you don't, the dealer will have to program it for you. Hope this helps....

STANDARD PROCEDURE - RKE TRANSMITTER PROGRAMING
Export vehicles require the use of a DRBIII® scan tool and the proper Diagnostic Procedures manual to program transmitters.[/b]
[ol][*]Using a functional key fob transmitter, unlock the vehicle and disarm the Vehicle Theft Security System.[*]Insert ignition key into the ignition switch.[*]Turn the ignition switch to RUN position without starting engine.[*]Using a functional key fob transmitter, press and hold the UNLOCK button for a minimum five seconds (maximum ten seconds).[*]While still holding UNLOCK button, and before ten seconds passes, press the PANIC button and release both at the same time. A single chime will sound to indicate that the transmitter programming mode has been entered (allow 3 seconds for chime to sound).[*]Within 30 seconds of the chime, press and release the “LOCK” and “UNLOCK” buttons on the transmitter at the same time. Then press and release any button on the same transmitter and a chime will sound after successfully programming the transmitter.[*]Repeat steps 5 and 6 for all transmitters that will be used with this vehicle (up to 4 total).[*]Turn ignition to the OFF position. Transmitter programming mode will discontinue after 60 seconds. All transmitter programming must be completed within time specified.[/b][/ol]
