Have a 1997 caravan 2.4l with 3 speed trans. Sometimes when i get in it and turn the key nothing happens just the lights on the dash light up but no clicking or cranking. If i keep turning the key from start to off it has eventually started so far. Just checked the battery terminal. took them off and reinstalled them and it did it again. Anyone ever ran into this before. Battery is like 1 1/2 - 2 years old. So far i have never had to get a jump start to get it started.
Just tried to start it again with the key, would not crank or anything just lights. Had the wifr turn the key and leave it on run,tapped the starter with a hammer and it started to crank and started. Would that mean its the starter thats bad?
