Default 2006 trailer wiring harness...dealer installed?

Hi all, new member here. Looks like a pretty well-organized and mature forum. Trying to find an answer over something the service department at the local dealership does not seem to understand... We bought an '06 Grand Caravan that included the "trailer tow prep package", and inside the van was the wiring harness kit loose in a bag. Installation of the harness (from the MOPAR instruction sheet included) requires partial removal of the rear bumper cover, removal of the taillights and soldering a flat 4-way connector onto the included leads. The service manager wants to charge us $95 to install it, I say it is part of the trailer tow prep option ($600, includes enhanced oil cooling, better radiator, load leveling/height control, and the aforementioned wiring harness). Does anyone have any experience with this issue and any hints for resolution? I called Dodge at 1-800-4ADODGE and got an ambiguous answer that the dealership needed to call their service port to get the answer...

Thanks for any help,
Ben
