I just purchased a new transmission for my Dodge Caravn and now it wont start

I got someone to do a test or use a scan tool on it and it gave the error code P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor. Although before I change the tranny it was telling me that I also need a MAP Sensor as sometimes the vehicle would miss and back fire

I was wondering if there was anyone that can give me some technical advise as to how to resolve this issue and get the vehicle started, is there anywhere I can go and download service manuals or wire diagrams, I am in Jamaica with this van and dont have any dealers down here so I have to try and figure this one with your help

 

I've been told that usually P0340 is a bad sensor but I don't know where it is on your engine. Also, it would help if you could tell us your engine size.
