Default '91 Caravan Slips Out Of Gear

I have a 1991 Caravan. When I start out in Drive and accelerate to 20-30 mph it jumps out of gear as if in neutral. However if I turn the ignition off and then back on,it reengages into 2nd gear. Also I recently lost the reverse gear completely.Could there a bad sensor or something else causing it to do this?Any help or information would be great.

Default RE: '91 Caravan Slips Out Of Gear

It sounds like it's time for a rebuild or a replacement transmission. Our '89 had the same symptoms and it died shortly thereafter. Take care of it before it leaves you stranded!!! Good luck!!
