Default 2007 Caravan rough shift

My 2007 Grand Caravan SXT has a rough downshift just as you are about to stop, 3-5 mph. Also sometimes there is a rough upshift around 8-10 mph, especially on an incline.

Dealer says no service bulletins or computer codes.

Anyone else having these issues?

It might just be the computer not adjusting to your driving characteristics. Being its a 07 it is prolly just that. Out of curosity how many miles od you have on it? have you disconnected the battery at all in the recent past?

I just turned 1000 miles on it, I noticed it the day after I brought it home 3 months ago . I have not touched anything on it.

yeah its prolly the tranny not being set for your driving conditions and also its new so the gears have a real good mesh. IF it islike that at 3000 miles take it to the dealership and have them inspect the tranny for abnomalities.

I was just browsing this forum and came across this thread...my 2007 seems to thunk into and out of 1st gear as well. I have over 10K miles on my GC SXT (we live in Germany and do a lot of driving) and it still does it sometimes, not every time but the thought has crossed my mind to get it looked at, I am just too busy/lazy. Do you think it could cause engine probs if I still haven't taken it in after over 10K miles? yikes!

I bought a 2007 GC SXT and noticed the hard shift in and out of 1st just a few days after we purchased it. It doesn't do it all the time. I'm not even driving it hard when it does happen. In fact, the times I've noticed it I've been driving fairly slow. The van now has a little over 2000 miles on it and still does it from time to time.
