Default Bosch Fuel Pump Question

I have a question concerning the Bosch fuel pump found on the 1994 dodge Ram 2500 4X4 pickup. 5.9L Deisel.

The question is can the fuel pump be "top end overhauled"? I am having fuel leak out of the top of the pump. Other than that the pump is still in perfect condition. Just the leak is causing air to mix too richly.

you can buy the rebuild kit for the entire pump and do what is needed. however, since you have it off and open why not just go ahead and replace all the gaskets and springs.

but your answer is yes. P7100 pump I believe.

well, I odn't have the pump removed form the engine, that is what i was trying to avoid. I just wanted to replace the gaskets on the top ide of the pump. Do you have a link as to where I can buy the rebuild kit?

you are either going to have to call your nearest Cummins distributor, or give Piers a ring, they may have what you need for a little less.
