It is a real shame that Dodge does not offer this Cummins option on the Cummins Diesel Ram pickups.
If they did, a lot of people would stop going to the dealer and paying their rediculous prices!

I never have gone to the dealer for any repairs, would rather learn how to fix it myself.

Here is what you need, a little pricey though

But really, that is similar to what we use in the shop and I'll tell you, it is a nice piece.

Yeah that snap-on scanner is a very good generic scanner, I've used it alot. Good information on codes, sensor data and whatnot, good update rate too so you can actually see the sensors data changes. Only thing is the cost to keep the thing up to date, but that also allows you to be able to work on newer stuff too as the cartridges come out for them.

There a few that you by a cable and the software is free. You hook it up to your laptop and you can do more than you imagined with the truck, even check specs while you are driving down the road.

I havent been able to find anything like that, it would be nice to check out.

NC... yes they read the codes and they also read all of the sensor data that is on the motor. One of them allows you to graph the data which can be helpful for finding faults that are intermittant.
