2000 5.9 cummins idles at 1000 rpm

I have a 05 f250 with a 2000 5.9 and 6 speed manual n on start up it idles at 1000rpm n won't go to 800rpm ! What can I do?

Does it always idle at 1,000 no matter if its cold or warm? Id try an app's reset.

yup, try the reset, also make sure there in nothing obstructing the pedal
