Default Dodge Ram 2500, Diesel, Misfire monitor.

Question.... I went to get my truck smogged, and it didn't pass because he said it said..... Misfire Monitor Not Complete.
I took it to my mechanic, and he tested it, said it's NOT misfiring, there's nothing wrong with it.....I have a Ram 2500, 4x4, diesel, 2005.
He said it's a computer issue, not reading properly....and I need to take to Dealer..... I'm not sure what to do, and is this costly?????
HELP????
JEFF

Could just be as simple as re flashing the PCM. Shouldn't take them an hour...

Drive it for 45 minutes. Then go in. Don't shut it off while in line. The monitors need a specific to complete.
