Default Blower Motor Relay?

I'm having trouble with the blower only working on high.

From other posts if sounds like the "blower motor relay pack" needs replaced.

I located something mounted on the side of the a/c black box and just want to confirm that this is the right thingie.

and this is it unplugged:

Thanks

That's incorrect! The blower relay is only to run the blower on high. So if it's blowing only on high, then the blower relay is good but the blower speed resistor is bad. The speed resistor goes for about $15 and is mounted in the heater box near the engine oil dipstick tube, it has a 4-wire plug going to it.

I have replaced the blower motor resistor on my 2001 Dodge Dakota about 4 times and it keeps frying it. Should I just replace the blower motor itself or is the A/C relay the same relay for this circuit?

I just upgraded the wiring to my blower motor from the speed selector switch, and now on 3 of 4, it moves as much air as 4 of 4 previously. My '89 uses no relays on the circuit. I've been thinking of adding one.

This whole blower motor circuit is too thin, too long and too many connectors.

Do clean the ground for the blower motor at the firewall, at the minimum.

Most people forget the (+) cabling is only half the circuit.

My old blower motor that was rusty and had dry bushings drew 18 amps on high speed. My new blower motor draws 17.5 amps with the upgraded wiring, but with less voltage drop on the cabling, more voltage gets to the motor, so it spins faster and draws more amps.
