I have a 92 dodge van and the lug nuts are worn on the area that meets the wheel holes. They have a tapered cone shape end that goes into the wheel holes. Those holes are worn too. Rather than replace the wheels I was wondering if they make a lug nut that had a wider cone area so they will not pull through the wheel rim holes.
Had that problem years ago on a 89 ram wagon, think it was caused by being driven with loose lug nuts. What I did was purchase new lug nuts and just made sure they where TIGHT, drove that van 80k like that but you Should get new lug nuts and a undamaged rim.
At the very least I should get new lug nuts....rims are expensive and they are not that bad...just thought they might make lug nuts with a slightly larger outer size so make up that difference.
Glad your rims are not too damaged, you likely could purchase dually lug nuts they come with a washer type front but I would not recommend that.
You want the tapered nuts for the tight secure fit, if your careful and sure the nuts are tight I think you will be good.

Are Dually lug nuts for holding on dual wheels? Why would that be a problem? With a washer that is cone shaped like that of a standard lug nut would solve the problem....I will go to rockauto and see if they have a picture.
If you don't replace the wallowed out wheels, you risk them coming off altogether while driving down the road. Pretty big risk with a van that flips easily.
Another question to ask is why'd the lug holes wallow in the first place?
dually wheels are centered by the center hub, standard wheels are centered by the tapered nuts. I would not use them also the cost of those nuts are at least three times the standard nuts, you can purchase a used rim for the cost of dually lug nuts.
