Default 2002 2.4 SOHC timing belt question

Was hard to start about 10 days ago but once started did not happen again (No ENG Light ) THAN 2 days ago. Again hard starting but started but this time light appeared but went off a short time later. Now car wont start, turns over but not starting and a p0340 code appeared and staying on. Could this be a belt? car ran fine between start problems. Car is in a lot and need to get it out if its something other than a belt i will fix it there

doubtful that the timing belt is causing the p0340 ,tough to diagnose could be anything bad camshaft sensor, bad crankshaft sensor could cause computer to think cam sensor bad, bad/short/open in a connector or wiring, bad pcm ,sometimes a weak battery bad cable or ground ,or starter could cause code to show up
