Just picked up a 01 stratus R/T cheap with 180.000 on it..has a new rad in it by old owner..the car after cold startup heat up after 4-5 mins ...One guy told me it the plastic intake gaskets ...I know with a blown head gasket on my 2.2 the antifreeze would bubble like boiling water...But dont know what is causing it? Ok my 3.0 heats up quickly in 3-4 mins and 5mins the temp is at the center of the gauge..what problem does these 3.0 have to heatup that fast? Or did anybody else had that problem and what was the cause of it?

As long as it does not continue to heat past center of the gauge, I see no problem in gettting to operating temperature quickly. My car gets to operating temperature by the time I reach the end of my road. Some cars heat up quick, some take more time.
