Default Wannabe Car Girl

Hey All,

Growing up, my dad was always fixing up and fiddling with trucks and I ended up getting pretty addicted. After high school (years ago) my priorities shifted and I wasn't able to spend as much time in the garage as I wanted. He passed a few years back and I really want to get back into the car world. So this is my first attempt!!

I am considering buying an Ram 1500 but I'm still shopping around. If anyone has any tips or tricks or years they love, I'd love to hear them!

Welcome to the forum. It would help if you would state what your budget is. In the mean time, wander on over to the Ram section and have a look around at the various generation sections. You have a choice of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen Rams, depends on your budget as to which generation will fit into it.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I am dreaming of one that has less than 100,000 miles and is less than $5,000. However, I think it might be a tall order. I haven't found any yet.

I am also thinking about buying a '72 Charger from an old friend to restore. I'm not sure I'm ready for such a big project yet though....

You're going to be in 3rd gen territory then. 2nd gens by now have well over 100k on them, unless you find a cherry. Check out the 3rd gen Ram section for some good info on common issues. 72 Charger is def a project vehicle if thats what you are looking to do.
