Default winnie wagon won't start and no brake lights

My 74 winnie wagon (b300) was running fine about a week ago, suddenly it won't start. I have power to everything but the brake lights and starter. Any ideas? I have a feeling it may be the connection at the firewall but I don't know how to check without spending a bunch of money I don't have.

Check the wiring harness that runs up around the brake booster. There you should find a bundle of fusible links. Perhaps one or more are burnt.

Yep that was it for the not starting problem. The brake light switch was loose too. Weird that both of those things happened at the same time and are not related. Thanks.
