Because a Hardcore Star Wars Fan Like Yourself Needs a One-of-a-Kind Star Wars Dodge Van

Star Wars is much more than just a movie to lots of people. In fact, to many, it’s basically a culture, a lifestyle, and a story they choose to live everyday of their lives. For those people, this 1979 Dodge Star Wars van is all they’ll ever need.

Craigslist has once again delivered the wacky listings it’s famous for, and brought us this wild creation from the Lone Star State. The seller claims the 1979 Dodge intergalactic cruiser “runs like a champ,” and could be used for special events or daily driving. While I’m still wondering what kind of special events this “out of this world” van could be used for, I can’t help but notice everything that’s not functioning.

Despite mentioning that it “runs good,” “runs like a champ,” and “works well” several times, the seller highlights quite a few details that don’t fit such descriptions. The one characteristic that makes this van, the graphics, are peeling. There are rust spots throughout the body. Another “cool gadget” in this Dodge is the built-in fridge, which, unfortunately, also doesn’t work. The windshield wiper system is broken. The fuel gauge “is a little off but works.” One of the door locks is broken. The odometer shows 90,000 miles, though they do not apply to the rebuilt engine. And lastly, the air-conditioning doesn’t work, but the heater does. That’s terrible news, considering the van resides in hot-as-hell Austin, Texas.

In the end, the “firm” price of $6,000 gets you get a van with some decaying Star Wars decals, a shag-a-licious interior, and a supposedly 2,500-mile engine. Whether you consider that a good deal, or intergalactic smoke, that’s your call.
