Reason #1 Why the Ram Truck is Better than Tundra

ram-for-sale.jpg1. Value – Not only does the Ram lineup offer more capabilities, more power, better looks and over a century of proven history – it does it for less money.  The entry level Ram 1500 is less expensive than the entry level Toyota Tundra (both of which come with standard V6 engines). But when you want a truck with a V8, the price difference is massive.  The 2011 Ram Tradesman with the 5.7L Hemi starts at just $22,340 for rear wheel drive and $26,015 for 4WD.  The Tundra, on the other hand, does not offer its 5.7L iForce V8 with RWD, so to get the biggest engine, you also have to buy 4WD, driving the starting price of the most powerful V8 to a whopping $33,710.  New Tundra owners can opt for the far less powerful 4.6L V8, but at $29,415, it is still more expensive and far less capable than the Hemi powered Ram.
