2020 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals to Feature Slew of Special Events
Carlisle Chrysler Nationals to celebrate 50 years of legendary Mopar muscle models next July.
The Carlisle Chrysler Nationals is already the largest all-Mopar gathering in the world. Over the course of three days, nearly 3,000 vehicles descended upon Carlisle’s Pennsylvania fairgrounds this past summer, in fact. So it’s fair to wonder – how can they possibly top themselves, next year? Well, with some recently announced special displays, themes, and anniversaries, it seems like the 2020 Chrysler Nationals, taking place July 10-12, 2020, is poised to be the best one yet.
This event almost always enjoys stellar weather. Regardless, there will be a host of diverse displays representing the best of Chrysler, both inside and out. And the year 2020 promises to be more special than most. Thanks in part to the fact that it marks 50 full years since 1970. And that means a lot of legendary Mopar muscle cars will be celebrating one heck of a birthday party. Thus, the next Chrysler Nationals will celebrate 50 Years of the Dodge Challenger, 50 Years of the AAR & T/A, 50 Years of the Plymouth Duster, 50 Years of the Superbird and 50 Years of Pro Stock.
The Dodge Charger is past 50 years old, of course. But this year’s Nationals will still be throwing a party for 1970 models. There will also be an Aero Warriors reunion and Mopar survivor display. Not to mention a Ramchargers and Golden Commandos gathering, to name a few. And the Historical Vehicle Association will be on hand to present a preservation award to the best survivor in attendance.
And of course, Carlisle’s Chrysler Nationals wouldn’t be complete without a variety of other activities that make it so much more than a car show. That includes things like product walk-arounds and free thrill rides from Dodge. This time in a Hellcat Challenger, among other vehicles. You’ll also find on-site installations from A&A Auto Stores, automotive competitions like autocross, a real street shootout, and a burnout contest. And for those seeking parts and/or entirely new rides, there’s also a massive midway and automotive flea market.
