Barrett-Jackson Offers a One-of-a-Kind Dukes of Hazzard Experience

General Lee and Hazzard County cruiser are up for sale, October 3-5.
The Dukes of Hazzard is to the 1969 Dodge Charger what Back to the Future is to the DeLorean DMC-12. Try as you might, these cars are forever linked to their high-profile pop culture reference points. And while the production crew reportedly wrecked around 300 Chargers during the show’s six-year production run, fans have made more than enough General Lee tribute cars to make up the difference.
This General Lee offered at Barrett-Jackson’s upcoming Las Vegas auction is completely different. Not only does it pack way more power than the TV car, but it also comes with a 1973 Plymouth Satellite done up like a Hazzard County cruiser so you can invite a friend to play Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane to your Bo and Luke.
The dirt:

The Charger, according to Barrett-Jackson, makes 600 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque on pump gas and features:
“… an upgraded 510ci V8 iron-block engine from Muscle Motors with Trick Flow 270 heads setup, SCAT 4340 rotating assembly with 4.25 stroke H-beam rods, Mahle forged pistons 11:1 compression, 630″ lift hydraulic roller camshaft and Morel lifters. Also equipped with Smith Brothers custom push rods, Harland Sharpe roller rocker system, Milodon 8-quart oil pan, Edelbrock Performer RPM air-gap intake, MSD ignition, TTI Headers, 3″ Flowmaster exhaust system.”
A 4L80E automatic built by Cole transmission sends power to the rear wheels and Wilwood brakes bring the big coupe to a stop.
The Satellite is more or less as it was back in the Nixon era. While it looks like a cruiser, we’re pretty sure its green cloth interior isn’t exactly police-spec. Still, it has signatures from the show’s stars on the dashboard and comes with a replica of Coltrane’s uniform and hat to really complete the ensemble. Plus, who’s going to be looking at the interior when you’re reenacting a high-speed chase straight out of Hazzard County?

Both lots (#698.1 and 698.2) are sold together, making this a very cool package deal. As such, Barrett-Jackson isn’t giving any presale estimates. But we’re thinking that this lot of Mopars is going to fetch some big bucks. There are a lot of good ‘ole boys never meanin’ no harm out there that these cars will appeal to. Just have Daisy Duke bring her white Jeep CJ-5 over and you’ve got yourself a party.
