Behold the King of the Race Track — the Viper ACR

You may call it the Dodge Viper ACR, but most people in the automotive industry call it the “King of the Race Track,” or the “Track Record King.” Regardless of which one you like better, such nicknames hold some serious weight.

The Viper ACR has broken not one, not two, and not even four lap records at this country’s most technical and legendary race tracks. And it has even put down a blistering and very respectable time at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. (It even has a small map of it in the armrest cubby to prove it.)

The video below, courtesy of The Awesomer, shows the brutality that the Viper ACR really offers when unleashed in its natural habitat. In this case, it’s the 4 miles of the Road America race circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin that’ll show us what the ACR is capable of.

In case you forgot, the Viper ACR is powered by a prehistoric V10 engine, which churns out a whopping 645 horsepower. But what’s more amazing is the over 2,000 pounds of downforce its crazy aero package generates, and the cooling openings and fully adjustable suspension that is all on display for everyone to admire.

Enjoy the lap!
