Change the Look of Your Ride With Spray-On Removable Paint

If you’ve ever wanted to change up the look of your rims on a budget, spray paint can’t be beat. If you want a higher quality finish, you pay more and get them powder-coated. There’s only one issue: powder-coating and most spray paints are permanent. If you painted over your shiny chrome, you have to live with it. Thankfully there’s a new temporary coating process known as “liquid wrap.” It allows you to paint almost any surface with a durable, yet removable coating. Sounds perfect, right?

Dupli-Color makes just what you are looking for; it’s called Custom Wrap. It’s different from other plastic-based sprays, because this one is more durable, so you won’t have to worry about it flaking and peeling off. It also comes in a wide variety of colors (including metallic colors) and gloss or matte finishes. It also has Dupli-Color’s EZ Peel technology, so it actually can be removed without the need for cuss words.

Dupli-Color says you apply the paint just like you would with spray paint, making sure your surfaces are clean and free of oils. About a half dozen coats are needed, but the result gives you a strong paint that can be driven through car washes, and taken off road.
