Incredible comfort and speed combine to make the HPE1000 Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody the fastest living room you can buy.

The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody already has some impressive stats out of the box. First, clocking in at an impressive 31 characters, it has one of the longest model names of any vehicle on sale today. But, far more impressive and important than that is that based on horsepower and top speed it is the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan. But for the truly insane (and we mean that in the most complementary way possible) that is only a starting point. Why settle for just under 800 horsepower, when you can have over 1,000? Well, once again the folks at Hennessey Performance are here to answer that question. Their HPE1000 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody is rated at 1,012 horsepower and 969 pound-feet of torque. Now we are talking.

One lucky customer is about to take delivery of a HPE1000 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody. But before that can happen the Hennessey team needs to give it a good test drive to make sure everything is working as expected. Plus, how can you resist driving one of these things on the Pennzoil Proving Grounds? A video of this epic test drive was recently uploaded to the Hennessey Performance YouTube channel. If you love the Hellcat, this video will probably be the best four and a half minutes of your day.

Upgrades

Hennessey has been at this game a long time. Their upgrade package is complete, and they are so confident in it that they offer a two-year / 24,000-mile warranty to go with it. Some of the highlights of the upgrade include an upgraded supercharger and pulley. You get stainless-steel long tube headers with high-flow cats. The fuel injectors are upgraded, and a high-flow air induction system is included as well. And just so everyone you just passed on the road knows what blew by there are the Hennessey exterior badges. The car is then dyno and road tested.

Hemi V8

Performance

The numbers this package generates are truly impressive. Zero to 60 is hit in a claimed 2.8 seconds. The quarter mile flashed by in 9.9 seconds at 141 mph. A 9-second four-door sedan with a warranty and everyday drivability is an impressive feat. Plus, it still sounds badass with that killer supercharger whine. And the car retains all the comfort of a stock Charger. There is plenty of room in the cabin and the ride doesn’t beat you up. This is the perfect daily driver for those who can laugh at the current gas prices.

Hennessey

Test Drive

Out on the proving grounds Alex and Adam from Hennessey put the car through its paces. During one of the acceleration runs Adam notes that the car “just keeps your head in the back of the seat.” Based on the way this thing gathers speed that is easy to believe. But the best thing about the video and this car has to be that glorious sound. It just sounds wicked and has all the speed to back it up. Yet, all-day comfortable.
