Hennessey Introduces HPE1000 Hellcat Super Stock Upgrade

Hennessey recently uploaded a video on its official YouTube channel that features a retuned 1035 BHP Challenger SRT Hellcat Super Stock.

The performance of Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock has put most thoroughbred supercars to shame. With 807 HP on tap, the notion of extracting more power from the 6.2-liter supercharged powerplant seemed almost impossible. Well, that did not stop world-renowned tuner Hennessey Performance Engineering.

The Sealy, Texas-based company recently uploaded a video on its official YouTube channel that showcases a retuned Challenger SRT Hellcat Super Stock running laps around the tuner’s track. The potent muscle car featured in the video comes equipped with Hennessey’s HPE1000 Performance upgrade package, which bumps the power beyond the four-digit mark.

The Hennessey-powered Hellcat Super Stock now churns out 1035 BHP at 6,500 rpm and 948 lb-ft of peak torque at just 4,200 rpm. This roughly translates to around 810 horsepower on the dyno. So far, Hennessey has not revealed the time its HPE1000-equipped Hellcat Super Stock takes to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH. Considering that in its stock-tune, the Hemi-powered muscle car only takes 3.25 seconds to hit the 60 MPH mark, we reckon that Hennessey’s offering can probably make the same run in less than three seconds.

To achieve the impressive performance figured, the Texan tuner installed new lower and upper pulley upgrades, and the powerplant also received stainless-steel long tube headers. The engine comes mated to an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission which sends the power to the rear wheels. The car now also gets high-flow catalytic converters, mud pipes, fuel injectors, and an air induction system.

To ensure that all performance upgrades operate effectively, the company also installed its HPE Calibration Upgrade. Hennessey performance engineering also offers serial number plaques on every model, and the bodywork sports Hennessy and HPE1000 exterior badges. Hennessey has not made any major modifications to the Hellcat Super Stock’s cabin or the bodywork, and the car’s styling remains pretty much stock.

With almost 200 miles of road testing, the tuner’s HPE1000 Performance Upgrade is a tried and tested package. In true Hennessey Performance Engineering tradition, the company also backs its HPE1000 package with a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty. The company has refrained from revealing the pricing of its new performance package at this point.
