2018 Dodge Durango GT Brass Monkey and Anodized Platinum appearance packages

Dodge’s Durango SRT8 is great, but not everyone needs a rip-roaring V8. Enter the 2018 Durango GT.

The Dodge SRT team is going to bolster the already “dressed to the nines” 2018 Durango GT with even an sportier look in Q2. The new Rallye Appearance Package has a performance hood with cold air duct and two heat extractors, performance front fascia, and LED fog lamps from the Dodge Durango R/T and SRT models. Sounds good? Well, Dodge says the package is available to order now but only for a limited amount of time.

While the Durango SRT8 has power and performance, the GT now has great aesthetic options to choose from. They always say the younger brother is always the best looking, right?

“Many of our customers love the performance look of the Durango R/T and Durango SRT, but are happy with the award-winning Pentastar V6 engine’s 295 horsepower and the excellent fuel efficiency it delivers,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Cars, Dodge//SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “This new Durango GT Rallye Appearance Package gives those three-row SUV buyers the best of both worlds.”

The Durango GT is the midrange option for the Dodge Durango lineup, and serves as the most accessible mid-sized SUV for those looking for affordable power and utility. It starts at $37,895, and comes in either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel-drive. The GT includes leather-trimmed bucket seats with suede inserts, heated first- and second-row seats, power liftgate, and 20-inch Hyper Black aluminum wheels.

It also rocks a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 motor with 295 hp and 260 lbs-ft of torque. It breathes with a dual exhaust and shifts with a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. Don’t let the small size fool you—that motor also has a towing capacity of 6,200 pounds. Definitely no slouch.

The Rallye Appearance Package will ding your wallet at $1,495, but it seems well worth it. Plus you can get the GT in seven flavors: Vice White, White Knuckle, Octane Red, Redline Red, DB Black, Granite and In-Violet.
