Five Coolest Dodges We Spotted at Awesome Joe Auctions

Despite its relatively young age, Awesome Joe has a whole host of rare and interesting Mopars up for grabs right now.

We’re always on the hunt for cool and interesting Mopars, for obvious reasons. And even though we certainly can’t bring them all home, that doesn’t put a damper on our endless search. That’s also how we came across a brand new site dubbed Awesome Joe Auctions that caters specifically to the modern automotive enthusiast. Created by the legendary Carlisle Events, Awesome Joe is also free to list with. If your vehicle sells, you pay a meager 2 percent of the sale price.

Combine Carlisle’s stellar reputation, a broad reach and cheap price, and you’ve got a winner in our book. Even though it just launched on Cyber Monday, Awesome Joe is already packed with a slew of interesting Mopars, too. Thus, we thought it would be fun and educational to sift through all of them and pick our five favorites for your consideration. The hard part is simple resisting the urge to place a bid on one!

1965 Dodge A100

1965 Dodge A100

It may not be a muscle car, but this classic Dodge van is every bit as cool as anything else we spotted at Awesome Joe. For starters, it looks like the perfect companion vehicle to your Scat Pack, new or old. And aside from those killer looks, it also packs a healthy 360 V8/727 automatic transmission combination. Chrome side pipes and timeless Torq Thrust wheels complete the package. Which, needless to say, is a very tasty one.

1965 Plymouth Barracuda

Early ‘Cudas obviously don’t enjoy the same popularity as their later brethren, nor do they come packing as much power. But we love them nonetheless. And if you’re just looking for a clean classic cruiser, this ’65 certainly fits the bill. It still packs its original 273 V8, automatic transmission, and even rare factory A/C. The seller has all the original documentation on the car, which has obviously been lovingly cared for all these years.

1969 Dodge Polara 500

If you’ve never seen a ’69 Polara 500 convertible before, there’s a good reason. Dodge built only 573 of them, making this a very rare machine. And few likely look as good as this one, which is in absolutely stunning condition. Loaded with cool options like the Super-Lite package, power everything, and even leather seats, it’s more luxury cruiser than muscle car. But it still packs plenty of power under the hood thanks to a 383 V8. And besides, where else are you going to find one?

1969 Dodge Super Bee

Everybody loves a classic Super Bee, and this one’s about as nice as they get. It’s also pretty much all original, including the floors, body panels, and numbers-matching engine and transmission. The paint was redone back in 1990, and the interior has been treated to new seat covers and carpet. But otherwise, this is a super clean California car well suited for any collection of Mopars.

1972 Plymouth Scamp

1972 Plymouth Scamp

The Scamp isn’t something you see a lot of these days, but this Hemi Orange one makes us wish we did. Built toward the end of the original muscle car era, it packs a 318 V8 producing a healthy 275 hp. It looks simply fantastic with its Rallye wheels, and has a rather beautiful black interior. Plus, we’re betting that it sells for far less than its equally cool Mopar brethren.

This is just a small sampling of the many cool Mopars we found at Awesome Joe Auctions. And new listings are popping up every day. So be sure and head over here to check them all out!
