Challenger Hellcat Dusts 1,000-HP Camaro ZL1

By -

Camaro ZL1 driver claims his car has 1,000 horsepower on E85, but bad driving will get you nowhere fast against a Challenger Hellcat.

In the above YouTube video from MotorTube, host Ronnie is looking for a race. We certainly don’t blame him. He’s driving a modified 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, and this raucous feline is looking to pounce.

He meets up with some other like-minded speed demons, and sizes up the competition. The cars on display are very cool, very powerful, and they look ready to rumble. The cars and trucks are lined up, hoods popped open. Ronnie checks out some pretty solid and great looking competitors in attendance—a Dodge Ram, a handful of Hellcats, a few Chargers, an Audi R8, a classic Ford F-100, a Mustang, and one Camaro ZL1.

So, about that Camaro…it seems this guy came with a chip on his shoulder. Okay, yes, the Camaro ZL1 is a badass, and this particular car is serving 1000 horsepower. Ronnie wrote on his YouTube channel, “The Camaro was fully built and on E85. I couldn’t show what’s under the hood because he wouldn’t let me record that part. I didn’t ask him to race me..he went up to all my friends being cocky saying he can beat everyone. So we raced.”

We’re kind of getting the vibes that if the Camaro ZL1 was in The Karate Kid, it would be the Cobra Kai to Ronnie’s Mr. Miyagi Hellcat. The Camaro needed a comeuppance.

And just like that, the incredible Hellcat cuts the Camaro down to size. They go head-to-head in three races, and it isn’t even close. The Hellcat just obliterates the Camaro! Bitchin’ Camaro, hey man, where ya’ headed?

Nice camera work by Ronnie gives us a chance to feel and hear that crazy Hellcat power. Check out the video for the full races, and lots of great car footage. Just remember kids, don’t step to the Hellcat without expecting a few scratches.
