Hellcat Charger Has an Insane Six-figure Mod List

By -

If you think you’ve got the hottest mods on the block, this Hellcat will probably have you beat on the show floor and on the track.

Hellcats, are the most of the most high-powered, stock muscle cars on the American market (even with the 2020 GT500 hitting dealerships this fall), but all that hoonage doesn’t come cheap. Hellcat Chargers have an MSRP of $65,795, but what would one look like with nearly $100,000 worth of mods and nearly 900 horses to the wheel?

Sounds crazy? Well, YouTuber BigBeeTV features one such Mopar owned by Joshua Passman, aka Instagrammer Xplosive_cat. And BigBeeTV wastes no time asking him to reveal the laundry list of all the insanity he’s poured into this already hi-po, hyper green kitty.

However, Passman gives us hard numbers first before he gets to the juicy deets.

Hellcat with Nearly $100K in Mods

“The car right now just dyno’d 880 at the wheel,” Passman said. “I’ve got a recorded 10.3-second quarter-mile run, and (the host) was there to witness it.”

I know what you’re thinking: 10.3 sounds a little high for car pushing that kind of horsepower in a straight line. However, Passman does mention that his Hellcat was using a less-than-ideal wheel-tire combo at the time, and will be returning to the track to hunt high- to mid-9s.

Passman’s Hellcat recently got the Baily’s Madhatter treatment, as you can see on the side badge. And while they don’t give out much info regarding what’s in the upgrades, you can see that it has a Griptec pulley, overdriven dampener and a cold air intake. He does mention that he also has a cam (and I’m sure a tune, even though he didn’t expressly say it).

Passman's Custom Dodge Charger Engine Bay

The engine bay has some other neat, detail-oriented mods, such as a green powder coating paint job on the supercharger plenum, greenified-dipstick, hydro-dipped battery cover and windshield wiper reservoir, even a 3D-printed fuse box. It’s also got dual catch cans and a custom coolant system that has a glass fixture on the main pipe for a visual of the fluid level. Kind of like fuel tank tubes you see on choppers.

Moving along, the car has a boatload of carbon fiber: hood, canards, splitter, rear valence, spoiler, bumper insert, steering wheel, etc. If we had to take a guess, we’d say this is where most of his money went, with the rest going toward an aluminium driveshaft, diff brace and other high-performance drivetrain mods.

“It’s made a considerable difference while launching,” Passman said.

The interior is highly-custom as well, and even includes specially-made diamond plate floor mats, carbon fiber design seatbelts, and plush diamond-stitch seat covers.

Is this overkill for a Dodge Charger, or do you think he should do more? What would you do if you had an unlimited automotive budget? Let us know what you guys think below.
