Hemi Engines to Return? This Charger Leak Might Suggest So

Leaked video stills show what undoubtedly appears to be a newer Charger and potentially even a new model, according to this YouTuber.
Since the effective discontinuation of the Hemi Engines and the Charger and Challenger, Dodge fans have been in an uproar for their immediate return. It’s hard not to see why. Who doesn’t love a screaming V8 and milky smoky burnouts as a combination? Whether it’s a Scat Pack, Hellcat, or a classic SRT-8 model, we all love the Hemi. Though Dodge was steering away from V8 power as a whole, it’s looking like there’s an Uno reverse card on the table.
YouTuber and Dodge fan TK’s Garage often covers rumors and leaks surrounding Dodge vehicles. Recently, he posted this video outlining a pair of leaked photos from an unidentified source at Dodge. One, seen in the photo above, undoubtedly carries the modern Charger body lines. However, the second car in the screenshots is a bit harder to make out. TK’s Garage has a theory that it might be the return of the iconic Plymouth Duster.
What Are These Cars?

Both figures are a bit hard to make out. The first photo almost looks like a modern Charger but with no rear doors. The second photo is a bit hard to make out, given the burnout smoke. However, it looks more like it has four door handles. However, the roofline is still pretty reminiscent of the Charger. The fender flares also look a lot like the Charger widebody models. It’s hard to say with any certainty. As is usually the case with these sorts of things, we’ll have to wait and see. It is fun to speculate, though.
Speaking of speculation, TK’s Garage thinks that this could be the second coming of the iconic Duster nameplate. There’s been occasional chatter of an SRT Duster model to go with SRT Challenger and SRT Charger models a handful of times over the years. Of course, as we know, none of them have come to fruition. So, as is always the case, take these “leaks” with a grain of salt. It’s fun to steer into some wishful thinking. These days, though, it gets harder and harder to believe things you see on the internet, no matter how convincing they are.
