D69 Daytona

With a 1969 Daytona look and a carbon fiber body on top of a Hellcat Redeye chassis the D69 Daytona is the perfect blend of old and new.

There are not many cars that are more instantly recognizable than a 1969 Dodge Daytona. With a sloped nose and massive, nearly two feet tall, rear wing this car was built to win races. 503 of these machines were made in 1969. They are prized by collectors and can bring in over a million dollars when they pop up for sale. But as iconic as the car is, the fact is by 2023 standards, it is not a very good car. So, what if you want the iconic look with more modern performance? Well, then you need to take a look at the new Carbon Fiber D69 Daytona by EXOMOD.

The new Carbon Fiber D69 Daytona was recently revealed to the world via a video posted to the EXOMOD YouTube channel. This incredible car has the overall look of the 1969 Daytona, but with a carbon fiber body sitting on top of an 807 horsepower Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye chassis.

The car revealed in the video is serial number: EXO-007. While this car may be a bit too ostentatious for James Bond, we would love to get behind the wheel. The Hemi engine is hooked up to a TorqueFlite 8–speed automatic transmission. Brembo 6–piston brakes are used up front. These sit behind lovely Forgeline DS3C wheels in Dark Satin Bronze with a brushed outer lip. The wheels are wrapped in 285/35ZR20 Pirelli PZero tires up front and 315/35ZR20 Nitto NT555 tires out back. The carbon fiber body is painted in Firenze Red Pearl paint to make sure you don’t go unnoticed.

Step inside and you are treated to an interior finished in two-tone Italian leather. There is also a Harman Kardon 18 speaker audio system with a trunk mounted subwoofer. Of course, most of the time you will probably be listening to that glorious Hemi V-8 coming through a custom active exhaust. The front seats are heated and ventilated. You get a rear camera and a navigation system that displays on the 8.4-inch touchscreen display to make your life easier.

The car will be revealed for the first time in person at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center on November 18 – 19. But if you fall in love with the car, it is going to cost you. An EXOMOD custom car with the 807 horsepower Hellcat Redeye chassis starts at $349,000. The D69 Daytona option tacks on an additional $40,000. So, all in you are looking at the better part of $400,000 for one of these. Of course, that is about half the price of what a top condition original 1969 Daytona would cost you. And the D69 Daytona is a better car.
