Police Bust Hypercar Meet After Insane Hellcat Burnout

By -

This might be one of the best Dodge Hellcat burnouts ever. Thankfully, Daily Driven Exotics captured the whole scene.

Popular YouTube channel Daily Driven Exotics recently posted some kickass footage from the Monterey Hypercar Meet in California. This high-octane event is sort of like the down and dirty after party (or possibly red-headed stepchild) of Monterey Car Week. After checking out the video, we have a few comments and questions. Most important: Who was driving that last Dodge Hellcat? Because, hot damn, that was an insane tire-smoking, rubber-burning burnout. We want more!

Unfortunately, right after the mic-drop burnout, the police showed up and broke up the action. The footage of the burnout is crazy, and seeing the burnt rubber treads on the road is so cool and satisfying. Well, until the cops bust up the fun.

Actually, to be fair, the po-po were pretty chill, all things considered. They spoke with DDE host Damon Fryer and asked him to help disperse the crowds from the street. But even law enforcement seems a little shocked at the hyped-up crowds and lingering Dodge Challenger Hellcat smoke.

“They don’t even know what to do,” Fryer says.

An officer comes over to thank Fryer, and a funny moment happens when friend-of-the-show and auto vlogger Alex Choi recognizes the cop…from giving him a speeding ticket, natch. Also check out Choi’s newest wrap for his Huracan GT3.

We know the police have a job to do, but the wild scene was definitely warranted after this epic smoky burnout of the century. We’d expect no less from a Hellcat, of course.

We queued the video up to the savage action, but you can check out the rest of the event on the video. It’s truly a sight for your weary, sore Mopar eyes.
