Power Wagon Restomod Ready to Crush Your Wallet

Built by Legacy Classic Trucks, each Power Wagon is built in over 2,000 hours, packed with tons of options, and can be had for $195K.
Long before the Ram or even the D-Series, there was the Dodge Job-Rated line of pickups. These trucks moved America between the end of the Great Depression and the end of WWII. In fact, a ton of them saw time on the front lines of Europe, and moving supplies back home. Including the ancestor of the much-beloved Power Wagon.
Taking everything learned in combat, the four-wheel drive beast built the foundation upon which all 4×4 medium-duty trucks roll upon today. They’re also very popular. So popular, according to CarScoops, that they’ve entered the restomod game via Legacy Classic Trucks of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Starting at $195,000, you can have a postwar Power Wagon that looks and runs better than new. The example above packs a punch from its 3.9-liter Cummins twin-turbo diesel-four, with 350 horses and 600 lb-ft of torque at the ready via a five-speed manual and Atlas 3.8:1 transfer case. If diesel isn’t your jam, though, a 6.7-liter Chrysler V8 with 400 horses and 480 lb-ft of torque is also available with the same setup.

Inside, the Legacy Classic Trucks Power Wagon mixes up the past and present wonderfully. Fresh gauges tell you all you need to know about your truck, while Bluetooth connects you to your world. And on those hot summer days, a modern AC unit provides plenty of cool air to go around. You also gotta love the wood-and-chrome steering wheel and the tan leather seating. Both are perfect complements to the cherry red paint draped upon the metal.

Out back, the red paint hugs the stained wood bed slats and diamond-plate toolbox, both important things to have. There’s even a ball hitch in the bed, perfect for towing goose-necks to the next big adventure on the open road.

The whole thing rides on big, meaty tires and 17-inch wheels mounted upon Dana 60 axles with locking diffs and hubs. There’s nothing this Power Wagon can’t power through, including your bank account. For those who can afford it, though, it’s one heck of a ride to be sure.
