Rezvani Tank X: The Dodge Demon-powered Apocalypse Mobile of Our Dreams

Finally, a Jeep that’s bonkers enough to handle the hellish resolve of the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 in the Demon.

When the JL Wrangler was introduced, a small but fervent group of maniacs (ourselves included) had one burning question: Was FCA going to drop a Hellcat V8 in it? The answer, officially, is a hard no. But that doesn’t mean that Hellcat-powered Wranglers don’t exist. In fact, if you have an extra $350k or so lying around, a little company called Rezvani will Hellcat (well, Demon) your Wrangler for you. Heck, they’ll even tune it and throw in a few extra goodies for the cost.

For those who aren’t in the know, the Irvine, California-based Rezvani doesn’t exactly do subtlety. Its 700-horse, 1,700-pound sports car is appropriately called the Beast. And its SUVs – sorry, Tactical Urban Vehicles, are unlike just about anything else out there. Starting with a stock Wrangler, the company adds military-inspired body panels that include ballistic and Kevlar armor panels, bulletproof glass, Mil-spec run-flat tires, and even a night vision system for good measure.

A Jeep fit for the end of days

For its latest TUV, the Tank X, Rezvani offers all that plus a few more options you can’t order out of the Mopar parts catalog. The cabin is wrapped in hand-stitched leather with a suede headliner. Underneath, the suspension is upgraded with Dynatrac axles, a Fox Racing suspension, and big 37-inch tires. And, of course, there’s the supercharged Demon 6.2 V8.

In Rezvani’s hands, the mill has reportedly been massaged to churn out over 1,000 horsepower, likely erasing any performance handicap caused by the extra weight. According to Road Show, the company sees the Tank X as a “daily driver,” which, sure. Options include EMP protection, even nicer leather, and an additional $12k worth of Fox Racing bypass shocks. After all, you don’t want to embarrass yourself driving home in a Tank X that’s identical to your neighbor’s.

For those of you with oligarch aspirations without the funds to match, Rezvani also offers an “entry-level” Tank for $155k that can be built around the Pentastar V6, 6.4-liter Hemi, or even the Eco-Diesel 3.6. But come on, when you’ve committed to buying something this bonkers, you’ve got to go all out. We’re glad that there’s a Demon-powered Wrangler out there. That it’s impervious to EMPs and small arms fire is just icing on the cake.
