SpeedKore’s Carbon Fiber Dodge Demon

One of just five built, this very special SpeedKore Dodge Demon is incredibly rare, but is it worth a cool quarter million?

We’d wager that most Mopar fans worth their salt remember the Dodge Demon built by SpeedKore a few years ago for the SEMA Show, a car that has been treated to a carbon fiber body and a host of performance upgrades that lift output to well over 1,000 horsepower – it’s just that insane, after all. SpeedKore only built around five of these special machines in total, meaning that most of us are unlikely to ever get the chance to buy one, let alone see one. However, one of these special Dodge Demon examples is up for grabs right now, on eBay, albeit with a hefty price tag of $250k.

As if a regular Dodge Demon isn’t enough, SpeedKore removed all of the factory dragster’s steel body panels and replaced them with its own carbon fiber parts made in-house, which shaved around 400 pounds off the car’s weight. As an added bonus, the composite panels look amazing with exposed weaves to boot. Otherwise, the car rolls on a set of black wheels with red brake calipers, and might otherwise fool unknowing onlookers into thinking that it’s just a “regular” old Demon.

While at least one of the five SpeedKore Demons built had twin turbos and over 1,400 horsepower, this particular example is otherwise stock, save for the aforementioned body panels. Not that this is a bad thing by any means, since its supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 cranks out 808 horsepower and 717 pound-feet of torque, which flows to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission that features a TransBrake and a manual shifting mode.

This particular car has just 924 original miles and comes complete with the Demon crate and the stock wheels with a set of drag radials, just in case the new owner wants to put those back on. Otherwise, the interior and everything else is as it came from the factory, though in all fairness, the Demon is a special car even in stock form. But whether or not this rare carbon fiber-bodied example is worth a quarter-million dollars, well, that’s for buyers to decide.
