This 1965 Dodge Coronet Ad Is Freaking Insane
There’s a reason why print and traditional media are dead. And while the Internet and technology in general are partly to blame, some of the old-school advertising is flat-out complicated, senseless, and boring.
I know what you’re thinking, entitled millennials! But seriously, check out this ad from 1965 that Chrysler put out for their flamboyant Coronet. Not only does it contain a whopping 71 words, but it’s in the form of a poem. A freaking poem!
And why is that woman laying on the ground reading a book, while everyone else is partying it up on the boat? We may never know.
The Chrysler Coronet lived from 1949 up until 1976, which is an eternity considering some Coronet generations endured extremely low sales.
