Twin-Turbo Dodge Viper With 2,300 Horsepower Is One Heck of a Thrill Ride

Yet another Calvo-built twin-turbo Dodge Viper proves to be one heck of a handful out on the streets.

The Dodge Viper has always been known as the sort of car that’ll bite you if you don’t respect it -quite literally making it one of the most appropriately-named vehicles in history. Of course, Dodge refined the original, first-gen model quite a bit over the years, making it much more compliant and reasonable – though no less powerful or fast. As enthusiasts are also well aware, one can extract serious power from the Viper’s V10 with the right mods, and this particular twin-turbo Dodge Viper featured in a recent video from That Racing Channel is the perfect poster child for such a build.

As is the case with most crazy fast twin-turbo Dodge Viper builds, this one – owned by Bridget Lewikowski – was pieced together by the folks at Calvo Motorsports. This particular car has been fitted with that company’s CM2000 package, which adds a pair of 76mm turbos, wastegates and blow-off valves, exhaust headers and exhaust, an aluminum induction system, air-to-water intercooler, and a revamped fuel system, to name just a few.

The result of those upgrades is an astounding 2.314 wheel horsepower and 1,600 pound-feet of torque – truly insane numbers, even though we’re pretty much used to seeing that kind of thing from twin-turbocharged Vipers at this point. Regardless, this car has also been upgraded in many other ways to help put that monumental amount of power to the ground, too, including beefed up axles and a sequential transmission for lighting quick shifts.

This Viper certainly looks the part, thanks to its matte army green wrap, drag wheel/tire setup, and a host of cool custom carbon fiber aero parts that have been added. As one might imagine, it also sounds absolutely incredible – almost like an aircraft trying to take off, which it certainly has enough power to separate itself from the ground if so desired.

In this video, we get to see Lewikowski take TRC for a thrill ride, showing off its ridiculous pulling power along the way. It’s a truly entertaining ride along, and the sights and sounds of this machine are enough to make anyone start counting their pennies, desperately hoping that they have enough to piece together their own 2,000+ horsepower Viper.
