Ultra Rare Dodge Viper ACR Voodoo II Edition Set to Hit the Auction Block
Number 28 of just 31 built, this 2017 Dodge Viper ACR Voodoo II Edition is essentially the ultimate version of a very special car.
Now that it’s been out of production for a while, the Dodge Viper is beginning to gain favor among collectors, as well as enthusiasts that are well aware of the fact that we’ll likely never see a car like it ever again. This is particularly true of earlier models, which offer up V10 power in a raw, visceral machine that lacks electronic nannies and even a functional top. But the later model Vipers are just as cool – if not more pleasant to drive – as the concept car-like original. For those looking for a collectible example they can hold on to and perhaps profit from, this incredibly rare 2017 Dodge Viper ACR Voodoo II Edition going up for grabs at Mecum’s upcoming Kissimmee auction looks like the perfect fit, too.
With just 13 miles on the clock, this 2017 Dodge Viper ACR Voodoo II Edition is essentially brand new, but perhaps more importantly, it’s number 28 of just 31 built in total, making it a truly rare machine. It’s also a pricey one, with options including the $19,000 ACR package, $6,000 ACR interior package, and $22,000 customer preferred package. As for what the Voodoo II Edition designation adds, well it’s essentially a fully-loaded, blacked-out version of the track-focused ACR, which isn’t a bad thing by any measure.
Built to celebrate the Viper’s 25th anniversary and its impending discontinuation, the Voodoo II has all the makings of a special, highly collectible machine, and they don’t get much nicer than this one. The Venom Black exterior is simply flawless, accented by Voodoo II stripes, a satin black fuel filler door, side pipes, a carbon fiber front splitter, and an exposed weave carbon fiber rear wing that’s fully adjustable.
Built for the track, this ACR Viper is also equipped with a fully adjustable suspension, carbon ceramic disc brakes, 19-inch alloy wheels, and of course, the piece de resistance – Dodge’s naturally-aspirated 8.4-liter V10, which cranks out a substantial 645 horsepower and is mated to a proper six-speed manual transmission. Throw in the fact that this example is ultra-rare and in brand new condition, and we imagine that it’ll raise some eyebrows – and bidding paddles – when it crosses the auction block next month.
