Nipsey

At nearly 21 feet long a stock 2019 Dodge 2500 Cummins Mega Cab is already quite large. But with a 16-inch lift, Nipsey is absolutely massive.

Are you a wallflower that likes to blend into the scenery and go unnoticed? Well, this 2019 Dodge 2500 Cummins Mega Cab nicknamed ‘Nipsey’ is the last vehicle in the world you would want to drive. This lifted to the sky show truck commands attention wherever it goes. The black paint scheme does nothing to hide the massive proportions of the beast. It is practically a monster truck for the road. It is not built for speed, or handling. This is not what you want for bombing down backroads. But this truck has a presence about it that few vehicles can match. You would get less attention driving an M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank down the street. Well, maybe.

This week’s “Wicked Wednesday” is all about this 2019 Dodge 2500 Cummins Mega Cab known as Nipsey. Joshua Morel is the owner of this insane show truck. He met up with his buddy to let him drive the truck around town and see what it was like. It was part terrifying and part hilarious. A video of the adventure was posted on the Double Clutch Auto Reviews YouTube channel. You have to see this wicked Dodge in action to believe it.

Why?

The first question you might ask yourself is why would anyone do this? Because you can, is an acceptable answer but Morel had better reasons. He built this truck to do fundraisers and events. He drives it everywhere from weddings to birthday parties. How can you not smile when you see this thing roll up? And if you are brave enough you can even it rent it yourself and drive it around. What?

Your next question might be what really is this thing? It started life as a 2019 Dodge 2500 Cummins Mega Cab Laramie Night Edition. It was a loaded-up truck from the factory and it being a Night Edition it came blacked out both inside and out. This was a nice truck to start with but $50K worth of mods later and it is a full-on show truck. It has a 16-inch lift. Not a 6-inch lift, a SIXTEEN-inch lift that is painted in Illusion Purple. The truck has King shocks and stabilizers all around. It has 44-inch bogger tires mounted on 28-inch wheels. Each tire costs $1,000. And the best upgrade of all is the 5-horn setup with dual air compressors. The horns provide freight train levels of sound should someone be foolish enough to pull out in front of this thing.

On the Road

This truck can roll over most other vehicles on the road without a second thought, so caution is the word of the day when piloting this thing. As you might imagine it does not stop, turn or accelerate all that well. But it gives you a driving experience like nothing else. You feel like you are in command of a warship as you head down the road. It is a riot. As long as you don’t find yourself on a twisty backroad. Slow and steady is the name of the game when you are behind the wheel of Nipsey.

Nipsey?

Morel named the truck after the rapper Nipsey Hussle. Hussle was somebody that inspired Morel to go after his dreams. This truck was one of his dreams and with hard work he has been able to achieve it. It is cool to see the inspiration led to reality. Check out the video below to see this amazing ride in action.
