Default 96 avenger slow death

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie. Just got this 96 Avenger ESa week ago. It kept dying on me from the day I drove it off the lot. Everyday they changed a different part. From conversations with the mechanic this is what was replaced and in this order...
spark plugs (only)
fuel filter
fuel pump
computer module
crank sensor
temp gauge

after these I drove it for aprox 60 mles before it died again. before this I couldn't get 5 miles.

Here's the sysmptoms before they changed all those parts.
Driving around 35 -45mph. all of the sudden feels like I'm slowing down but I still have foot on pedal. then a few seconds later engine dies and light comes on. also only seemed to do this once temp guage was at halfway mark. If I cut it off and back on right away, temp guage dropps to 1/4th cool and I can take off again. Also feels like it's going to cut off sometimes when I'm breaking. I've never driven manual but it feels like when someone stalls out cause they didn't shft in time. Sorry for not knowing the correct lingo to use.
So after all these parts have been replaced drove approx 60miles over last couple days. Then it does it again. only thing different is the temp guage is at same temp when I start it back. Which I think is where is should be right? I'm thinking I need a real tune-up and to have the transmission fluids checked. Am I even close?

Another thing to check is the ASD relay, actually, I'd say to replace it. Check in the sticky section, I have info for that in there. Which computer did they change by chance? I'd think they would change the PCM, but you never know these days, lol.
Heck, I'd go ahead and replace all the relays on the firewall, it may cost you $20 to change all three or four. Those are the only things that they didn't change, but still have bearing on your issue.
Temp gauge...1/2 way is where it should sit if not just under 1/2.
Fluids...it sounds like you have an auto. Have you noticed any slipping of the torque converter? What color is the tranny fluid, how does it smell?
Engine light (CEL)....do the key dance the next time this happens. You turn the key to the "on" position, without actually starting the car, 3 times. On the 3rd time, leave it in the "on" position and watch the CEL. It will blink however many times to show a code or more. It will blink once, pause, then it will blink a second time...this is a 2 number code. If you have more, it will continue in this process until you get a 5 + 5 which means end of codes= 55.
