Default oil pressure gauge

Hey guys gotta 95 es 2.5 and my oil pressure guage just stoped working one day. it is really starting to bother me because it is a dead guage and its a big eye sore. I checked the conector at the sender unit and it is conected but still nothing. i really dont wanna pay 50.00 bucks for a new sender unit maybe something else could cause this? and is there a way to test the unit in my car like with a multimeter?? thanx all

Joe

I usually ground the wire and watch for needle movement , then you can connect it to 12 volts watch for movement , that proves gauge is OK that will show you it's the sender unit...
