Default grinding on front brakes

I have a slight sound in my front wheel area. Its only when I apply the brakes. I took of the front right wheel and turn the rotor and it spun but it wasn't really easy to turn. I wasn't sure how easy it was supposed to turn. Someone told me I prolly need to get the front rotors turned or just get new ones. They also said to maybe replace my pads too. Does that sound correct or is there anything else to look at? I also sometimes have a slight nose during normal driving but its only at a certain point when the wheel is turning. Any help would be awesome.
Heath

It sounds like the brake pad indicator. Is it a high pitched squeal? If so, that is your brake pad indicator getting ready to squeal full time. It just means that you need to change your brake pads. It wouldn't hurt to get your rotors turned also.

Well its not a high squeal noise its a lot lower sound thats why I wasn't thinking that it was all of the pads fault.

At lower speeds (5mph maybe) the sound is more of a grinding noise and higher speeds it's more of a squeal. All of this happens when the brakes are applied though. If it's a constant noise, you'll have to provide more info, such as speed...while braking at certain speeds, while turning at certain speeds and braking? That kind of thing. The rotors won't make a noise on their own though. There are a few things that can make noises in our suspension area, so you'll have to narrow it down a bit, lol.
What kind of noise are you talking about Heath? Can you describe it?

Well when I am driving at low speeds is when I can hear anoise while driving. Its just a really light grinding noise coming from the front wheel area. But itsounds like the noise comesonly at certain points when the wheel is turning and the same point. Not any type of squealing or hard grinding. When I go from a disant speed like 20 or more and apply my brakes I get a really bad pulsating I dunno if its supposed to be that noticable with ABS or not but it feels like it only grabs the brake in certain spots (up front is where all the noise is coming from). During this braking I also get a medium range grinding noise. When I come to a stop from slower speeds I get a grinding noise again just not as loud as the one before.

My bro in law drove it and said that he thinks the rotors are ( don't remember that mechanical term he used) but that they were not correct or not flat. So he figured the brakes were rubbing on certain points of the rotor where it wasn't level.
When I pulled of one of the front wheels and turn the rotor it would spin but not very easily. It also didn't catch in any certain area so I don't know whats wrong.
