Glove compartment help!!!

Just bought my 97 avenger and my glove box won't unlock with key..any ideas other than drilling it out??
I locked it with key now won't open :{

Are you sure you used the same key to lock it and unlock it ??? The venge comes with a valet key that locks unlocksdoor/starts car but will not open the glovebox/trunk

Go to the local lock smith. They can make a new key it takes about 5 min.
