So I got a 95 venge and the cruise didn't work. Then one day I just flipped the switch and the light came on but doesn't stay that way. The good past is that the cruise mechanism kicks in if I hold the on button but if I let go it stops working. Has anyone else had something like this?

It sounds like your cruise control switch just isn't locking into place. Go to a junk yard and get a replacement one from any year Avenger/Sebring, 95-99 Eclipse, and 95-98 Talon.

 

So get this I took it out and put it back in and it works. Thanks for everything.

 

Poor connection on the back perhaps?
