My 98 Avenger 2.0 4 cyl is not getting spark in cyl 1 & 4, or fuel in 1,2, & 4. I replaced the ASD relay, cam sensor, and crank sensor. My Haynes manual isn't helping me at all. What else could the problem be?

 

Check your coilpack. I'll have to look but I think you also have a power transistor that needs to be checked.
1&4, 2&3 leads are connected to each other. Meter them and if they're good, then it could be your PCM.

 

Replacedcoil with another one I had, still no spark, both tested good. My power transister is also good.

 

There's only one thing left bud....the ECU[:@]
...but before doing that, make sure your base timing is right, you have plenty of power in the battery, check and double check the install of the crank and cam sensor.

Spark...and injectors...is dictated by the crank angle, cam angle, ASD signal, then ECU. Then you have to have the power transistors, coilpack, plugs, and wires to send the spark of course.

 

Changed the PCM. Still nothing. I am going to have the wires from the crank and cam sensors checked.
