Default Help With Viper Car Alarm

I have a Viper Car Alarm/Keyless Entry/Auto-Start (Trunk, Windows, ECT)

I can still lock the doors, auto start, put windows down, and open the trunk, and alert.

But when I press the lock button the alarm doesnt engage, and I no longer hear the beep. Also, when I press the lock button the windows are supposed to go up. They no longer do.

Any advice? I would rather not replace it.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally set it into Valet mode?
When you've armed it, does it blink in sets of 3 (or 2, I forget) with a pause?...or does it still blink normal (no pause).

When I arm it the tail lights usually blinked but that was all I noticed...I am not sure...My girlfriend took the car, she said it worked when she got in, but when she got home, it didnt. My 2 year old messes with my keys all the time :P

It was the valet switch. I did a little research on it, after you had said "Valet Switch". Come to find out that was pretty much all it was. They have it installed on my kick panel near my left leg on the drivers side. I bet my girlfriend hit it getting out of the car..

Thanks,

She could have also set the alarm into valet mode with the remote simply by pressing buttons 1&2 (if you have a 4 button remote) in the instructions remote valet mode. My wife has done that before too...left my car unlocked while she was away from it...my poor baby, lol.
