Does anyone know what "rotor pitted" means?
I took my car in to theshop because I was hearing grinding noise coming from my left rear wheel.
Apparently, I thought the brake pad in the back was wearing out because I saw a deep circular scrape mark on the surface of the rotor.
I took it in and I told them to change the two rear brake pads thinking that was the problem. When I got my car back and started driving, I was hearing the grinding noise again and this time it was even louder than before.
Do you think it is my rotor that needs to be replaced?

I would say replace them, there not to much money and you'll be glade you did in the long run And the pitting could possibly be from the pads bein so worn down that they started grinding in to the rotor there fore leaven a nice grove all the way around the rotor.
