Lookin for a couple cars
Alabama, black, not running. I doubt you sped past that one. Before I blew it up I was very lead footed. Paid the ticket for running 94 mph to prove it.
Red, running, just bought yesterday. Paid $850 for it. The rims are worth more than that. Paint is chipped, so it'll go in our shop tomorrow and I'll begin sanding it down. Any suggestions on paint jobs? Hubby's thinking lime green. We're fixing both up and having his and hers. We bought it for my stepson, who turned his nose up at it. HELLO??? If I were 15 and someone offered me a sports coupe with phat rims and a loud system free and clear I would hardly turn my nose up.

And he wouldn't take a free Avenger? Damn, I'm still paying on mine and I still love every minute I drive it.
My first car was actually one I won from a radio station. It was a '91 z-28. Unfortuantely I was only 14 and my parents decided to sell it to the person who is now my uncle-n-law. Hubby promises me by the time our kids graduate he'll find one and stick in the body shop and do a complete restoration on it.
Second car you'll get a kick out of. Dodge Aspen, slant 6. It was a clunker, but it had been in the family since it rolled off the showroom floor. My mom was notorious for loosing keys and one night she lost them when our locksmith was out of town. So dad took the ignition out of it. Before you could crank her up you had to open her hood and attach a roach clip to the battery hot wire. I can't remember what that particular roach clip was for, but in the winter you had to attach another one to run the blower motor so you'd have heat. Okay, so to crank it you had to stick your fingers in the steering column and crank it with your fingers. It had the reverse where you had to lift up the gear shifter to put it in reverse. My friends tripped out on that one. Since the keys were lost dad took the lock out of the trunk and I had to open it with a screwdriver. The springs on one side were shot so the car was lopsided pretty bad. It took skill to learn how to balance on one side of my rear end and push in that clutch. At that time dodge was having an issue with their bodies rusting out, so by the time she got to me she had holes so large that wasp would make her body their home if I left her parked for a couple of days. I used to tell my friends my car was cream colored with rust graphics for detail. Oh, and it had an 8 track in it that did not work. So when my friends and I rode through town we would stick our head out the window and yell "Boom Boom" to show we had bass, too.

red 98 - fort worth texas - was in omaha/lincoln ne (commuter)all lastyear.
I know I haven't been passed though because I cant count the # of cars that do that in a year on 1 hand (I have an extreme lead foot)
220,000 miles - all original but still runs& looks new.
I have litterally only replaced the wheel bearings (this week), belts (@ 200,000), right front caliper and 2 door handles.Short of minimal routine maintenanceoil & trans changes, 1 battery, wiper blades and 2 sets of spark plugs & 1 turnsignal bulb & lots of wax
